an intermediate level tutorial
Painting Hair in Paint Shop Pro
Page 3
First make a copy of the image (in case you need to try this again) and go in and erase the part you don't like on all the layers, then add a new layer under the original hair layer. On this layer, use the paintbrush to paint something you *do* like, and then repeat the duplicate, burn, smudge, duplicate, dodge, smudge procedure with this new layer. Then go to your original hair layers and smudge them very slightly over the new layers to blend them together better.

Alright! Now we perfectionists (or mistake-makers, whichever you prefer, LOL) are done! Finish her up however you want, save her as a jpg, and you, too, are good to go! Here's my finished image, full-sized - and I'd love to see yours, too, if you have it posted somewhere, please send me the url!

Remember, this tutorial is just a very basic guideline, and nothing here is "written in stone" - play around with the other brushes in the set, experiment with layer visibility and transparency (even blend mode) and above all, have fun!
I am still new at writing tutorials, so if you have any problems, comments or questions regarding this one, please feel free to email me and I will do what I can to straighten things out. Thanks!
